How do I submit an article or illustration?

If you are interested in contributing to the magazine, please head to Facebook and join our ‘Viridis contributors’ group. We put out regular content calls here for writers with the chance to have a piece in the next issue. We always welcome new writers as well as voices from underrepresented groups. Keep an eye out on our social media channels for any other opportunities!

Will I receive payment for my article submission?

At this point and time, all published articles and illustrations are submitted on a voluntary basis and are unpaid. Viridis is run by a team of dedicated volunteers. We very much look forward to hearing from you.

Will I receive feedback on my submission?

Due to a high number of pitch submissions, you may not hear back from us if your pitch is unsuccessful, though we do try to reply to everyone. Equally, if your pitch is rejected it does not reflect the whole nature of your work. we are sometimes very specific with what we look for and would encourage you to submit again in the future. Sadly, due to capacity, we are unable to give feedback to rejected pitches at this time.
